Advance Tank and Construction is a construction company that works throughout the continental United States. We build large capacity, steel erected, storage products from the ground up. We are looking for a Shop Yard Laborer person in our Wellington, CO shop. We are interested in those who are experienced, hardworking, and know how to work safely.
PAY RANGE
$19.00 to $23.00
The pay range is dependent on the person’s experience and capabilities. Benefits include: paid vacation, sick leave, 401K, and health & dental insurance. This is an employment at will position.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to perform all duties safely.
- Either have experience, or with training, be familiar with heavy equipment operations used in moving heavy objects.
- Either have experience, or with training, be able to use the following tools: 4 and 8-pound hammer, fit up bar, grinders, magnetic drill, chipping hammer and cutting tools.
- Must be able to pass a post hire physical verifying ability to perform essential functions of job, as well as a drug test.
- Must be able to follow directions, have the ability to stay on task and pay attention to detail.
- Must be able to physically move 75 to 100 pounds, routinely.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & TASKS
- Must be able to perform all duties safely.
- Must be able to follow instructions and perform assigned tasks safely and correctly.
- With instruction, must be able to help keep shop yard clean and organized by properly moving heavy steel plate, structures and other materials by use of a crane, forklift, other equipment or manually.
- With instruction, assist in setting, aligning, fitting, assembling and cutting of plate material, accessories and other materials.
- Must have experience pulling trailers. If driving an ATC vehicle, an Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) must be completed and approved.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & TASKS
- Reading of blueprints, learning to tack weld, and/or the layout of steel plate.
SCHEDULE
- This position works 8 to 10 hours per day, 5 days per week; able to work overtime when necessary. Begin work promptly at designated time.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Worker is on feet, kneeling, or bending all day and work is done outside in all weather conditions. Worker will be required to wear a hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs and at all times.
