PAY RANGE
$50.00 – $60.00
The pay range is dependent on the person’s experience and capabilities. Benefits include: paid vacation, sick leave, 401K, and health & dental insurance. This is an employment at will position.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have good interpersonal skills as well as good hygiene.
- Minimum 5+ years of Field Superintendent experience in constructing or repairing large storage tanks, bins, silos, clarifiers and other steel plate fabricated products (hereafter Tanks).
- Experience with Occupational Health and Safety (OHSA) construction industry standards and the safety components of Tank Work, including within a large plant environment.
- Ability to direct, supervise and train others in construction or repair of Tanks as well as the ability to read the blueprints and drawings necessary for this work.
- Knowledge of the operations and mechanics of the following equipment: generators, rectifiers, welders, air compressors, automatic welding equipment cranes and other such equipment, including certifications in operations of some of said equipment.
- Experience with workflow planning and project execution as well as with computers and construction software in order to perform the paperwork that is part of this supervisory position.
- Must be able to climb ladders to tall heights, or into holes and climb around confined spaces to verify work.
- Must be able to work on multiple tasks, understand budgets, and work under deadline without while maintaining composure.
- API Tank Entry Supervisor Certification and/or API653 Certified Inspector qualified helpful.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & TASKS
- Must be able to perform all duties in a manner that create a safe work environment for all employees.
- Ensure that the ATC site specific safety and project plans are implemented by being present onsite during work hours to oversee the construction process.
- Plan and ensure the coordination of civil field jobs. This role has the responsibility of supervising the entire civil project, including guaranteeing the quality of work/materials and making sure all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Assure that the design plan is being implemented by all and monitor the progress of the work.
- Prepare the appropriate paperwork that is needed by the regional office and customer for progress of the work as well as payroll.
- Work closely with the Project Management Team (PMT), subcontractor, and Owner with a focus on safety, compliance, quality, production and accuracy of billing/charges to achieve successful completion of each project.
- Ensure all drawings and technical documentation received by the superintendent will be reviewed and discrepancies immediately reported to the Construction Manager for clarification.
- Able to assist in brining quality field civil personnel to the HR process in order to build a competent field crew as well as work with new employees in training them in civil construction practices.
- Able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, scaffolds, and work at heights on a regular basis while wearing PPE including, but not limited to the following depending on the type of work, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and sir purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, safety toe boots and safety glasses in order to appropriately monitor all work.
NON–ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & TASKS
- Ability to manually move objects weighing up to 70 to 100 pounds.
- Over the course of employment with Advance Tank, learn to write an Inspection and Testing Plan, Work Plan and Safe Execution Plan.
SCHEDULE
- The work is scheduled for Monday through Friday, often ten hours a day. However, often the customer dictates the working hours, so may need to work hours prescribed by the customer.
- Furthermore, overtime is required in this job.
WORK CONDITIONS
- This job requires extensive travel within the United States and will require significant time away from home. You will be on your feet all day, which can include kneeling, bending, and standing. Wearing a hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs and suitable work clothing is necessary. The working conditions at each job site change from clear and open to congested and tight. You will be working outside in all types of weather. You will be expected to be aligned with the Company Work Ethic Document, which is included in your new hire packet.
