Corporate Responsibility
Advance Tank and Construction Company takes great pride in contributing to the communities in which we work. We believe that those of us with the means to help have an obligation to assist our communities when we are able. We can provide a list of reasons to be a “good corporate citizen,” but at the end of the day there is only one reason that needs to be given – “It is the right thing to do!” Over the years we have been honored to partner with great individuals and foundations who are helping those in need. Here are a few of the programs in which we have participated in recent years.
Tanks a Lot Fund
Several years back Advance Tank formed the Tanks a lot fund. This fund was established to continue the legacy Spence & Betty Van Alsburg lived …Giving Back. This fund is designated to children’s assistance and basic human services such as food, shelter, clothing, and medical assistance.
Betty’s Kitchen
In 2008 Advance Tank gave a donation to the Larimer County Food Bank in memory of one of our founders Betty Van Alsburg. The Food Bank was able to leverage that donation in order to expand a kitchen that prepares meals for local children. It is called Betty’s Kitchen and currently provides over 1000 meals per day to children and families in need of assistance.
Boys’ and Girls’ Club
Recently Advance Tank was privileged to provide a significant contribution to the Wellington Boys & Girls Club. It is our hope that they will be able to use this money to expand their building and thereby their services to the children of our community.
United Way Campaign
Yearly, Advance Tank challenges its Colorado employees to participate in the local United Way Campaign, this past year our employees donated over $20,000 with the company matching and additional $20,000. We are proud to say that we had almost 100 participation from our Colorado employees. In 2010 we hope to run that same campaign in both Colorado and Alabama in order to give each office an opportunity to get involved locally. There is no greater feeling then when you know you are helping others.
It is our desire to continue and grow our contributions to local organizations in need of assistance. Advance Tank and our employees have been blessed with continued work and we will continue to assist those who have not been as fortunate.
