Advance Tank and Construction is a construction company that works throughout the continental United States.  We build large capacity, steel erected, storage products from the ground up.  We are looking for an Account Manager (Industrial Construction) in our Pell City, AL office.  We are interested in those who are experienced, hardworking, and know how to work safely.

PAY RANGE

$80,000 to $120,000 yearly

The pay range is dependent on the person’s experience and capabilities. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, 401K and health and dental insurance. This is an employment at will position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Advance Tank is looking for a technically minded person to serve in a sales role inside our organization. As an Account Manager you will be tasked with business development, specification review, obtaining subcontract quotes, interfacing with engineering and estimating, proposal writing and contracting. The Account Manager position serves as the front-end project manager, handling all tasks through contracting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have either of the following:
    • 3+ years of experience in the industrial market either through project management, engineering, or sales activities, estimating knowledge is helpful.
    • Bachelor’s degree with the desire to learn and understand selling projects in the industrial market.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, good attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Must have strong written and oral skills, be self-motivated and enjoy speaking with people.
  • Must have proven computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM Software.
  • Must be able to work on multiple tasks or work under a time deadline without getting flustered.
  • Must be able to go into plants, refineries, and other areas where work or prospective work is located, do job walks and discuss potential projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Ability to contact potential clients to procure work through face-to-face meetings, phone solicitations, email, and letter campaigns.
  • Review and understand plans and specifications to determine if Company is capable of doing the work, including assisting client with scope development.
  • Manage all phases of the bidding process including preparing proposals to clients, procuring subcontractor or material prices, and negotiating sales on technical and commercial aspects, including review of customer terms and conditions.
  • Prepare all post sale information for turnover to Operations in a timely and professional manner and work with Operations as needed to assist with a successful completion of the project.
  • Learn and begin to implement the Company safety program as it pertains to projects to bid.

SCHEDULE

  • Daily hours of office operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, depending on travel schedule will vary these hours.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • This job requires the worker to be able to sit at a desk daily in an office environment as well as travel and work around a field construction site, including work at elevation upward of 70′ and in confined spaces. Worker must be comfortable operating in chemical plants and refineries. Will require travel away from home.
