PAY RANGE
$35.00 – $45.00
The pay range is dependent on the person’s experience and capabilities. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, 401K, and health & dental insurance. This is an employment at will position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience managing construction safety in the field.
- Certifications such as ASP, CHST, STSC, SMS, TSP, SMC or other BCSP/ASSP-related credentials are preferred but not required.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to be the Safety Leader on a job site and Stop Work when necessary to ensure the safety of employees.
- Must learn and apply ATC Safety Procedures.
- Must be familiar with OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry (29 CFR Part 1926), General Industry if working in an Industrial Plant (29 CFR Part 1910) and maintain an OSHA 30-hour certificate, be first aid and CPR trained, and any other site-specific certifications or training required.
- Must be able to learn and apply customer-specific site procedures and work to ensure ATC is compliant with all requirements.
- Must be able to work onsite with ATC employees assisting them to work safely.
- Must have experience with computers preferably with Microsoft Office Suites and TEAMs.
- Must be able to pass a post-hire physical verifying ability to perform essential functions of the job and a substance abuse test whenever required by Advance Tank or its customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Proactively administer and monitor a safety program for field operations based on ATC, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to train filed employees in a safe work practice on site as well as watch over how the work is performed.
- Work with Advance Tank field superintendent and other site employees to work safely and still achieve productivity.
- Work with customer safety personnel and other outside vendors to site-specific safety program standards.
- Prepare monitoring equipment for site personnel daily as needed, as well as work with Corporate Safety Manager on necessary site engineering controls.
- Represent Advance Tank regarding safety job site meetings with customers, subcontractors, and/or owners.
- Prepare any paperwork necessary to document site-specific safety issues and training.
- Prepare written reports including safety audits, accident investigation, incident reports, etc.
- Assist with SDS documentation request when required and know whom to contact to obtain SDS information.
- Help in the development and revision of safety training program to assist the ATC Safety Manager in training employees in a safe practice.
- Work with ATC Safety Manager in keeping all ATC employees and work site safe with the goal of zero workplace incidents, accidents, or injuries of any kind.
- Must be capable of climbing to heights of 160 feet above the ground by vertical ladder and of using tools of the trade at the height, such as fall protection equipment in order to check on safety issues.
- Should be medically capable of wearing and using a respirator, when necessary, as determined by a pulmonary function test.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Perform monitoring & testing (CR-6, Hearing, Silica, 4-gas, etc.).
- Assist superintendent with other duties not essential to safety as times allows.
- Provide oversight to subcontractors if needed, i.e. painters, insulators, etc.
SCHEDULE:
The work is scheduled is Monday through Friday, often ten hours a day. However, often the customer dictates the working hours, so may need to work hours prescribed by the customer. Overtime and weekend work are often necessary.
WORK CONDITIONS:
The worker is on their feet, kneeling, or bending all day, and work is done outside in all weather condition. The worker will be required to wear hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, protective footwear, clothing at all times, and fall protection when necessary. Work requires moving from job site to job site all over the United States. Should work require wearing a respirator, the worker will need to be clean-shaven. This job requires the worker to move freely throughout a field site and be on his or her feet for long periods of time.
