Advance Tank and Construction is a construction company that works throughout the continental United States.  We build large capacity, steel erected, storage products from the ground up.  We are looking for a Yard Leadman the Wellington, CO area. We are interested in those who are experienced, hardworking, and know how to work safely.

PAY RANGE

$28-$34

The pay range is dependent on the person’s experience and capabilities. Benefits include: paid vacation, sick leave, 401K, and health & dental insurance. This is an employment at will position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have experience with heavy equipment operations, including forklifts.
  • Must have experience with rigging, chaining, and strapping for over the road transport.
  • Must have experience with basic hand tools and for palletizing and crating.
  • Must have experience with shipping and receiving.
  • Must be organized, have the ability to multitask and prioritize, and have good attention to detail.
  • Must be able to physically move 75 to 100 pounds, routinely.
  • Must be able to pass a post hire physical verifying ability to perform essential functions of job, as well as a drug test

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & TASKS

  • Must be able to coordinate all material handling functions in the yard including loading and unloading of heavy and awkward materials on trucks using industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, assign duties, and supervise work to guarantee it is being done correctly and safely.
  • With instruction must be able to safely move and handle heavy steel plate and structural shapes including loading, unloading, setting, aligning, fitting, assembling, and cutting. Movement and handling are done both manually (up to 100 pounds) and with assistance of a crane or other equipment.
  • Must be able to multitask while remaining neat and organized.
  • Must be able to lead teams of three to five employees.
  • Must maintain a professional working relationship with outside organization such as trucking companies and their drivers. Prior experience in the trucking industry is beneficial.
  • Must be able to organize and maintain all shipping and receiving documents.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASK:

  • Reading of blueprints

SCHEDULE

  • This position works 8 to 10 hours per day, 5 days a week: able to work overtime when necessary. Begin work promptly at designated time.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Employee will be walking, kneeling, lifting, climbing, or bending all day and work is done outside in all weather conditions.  Workers will be required to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs at all times.
