Advance Tank and Construction is a construction company that works throughout the continental United States.  We build large capacity, steel erected, storage products from the ground up.  We are looking for an NCCCO Crane Operator for our shop in Pell City, AL. We are interested in those who are experienced, hardworking, and know how to work safely.

PAY RANGE

$30 to $35 per hour

The pay range is dependent on the person’s experience and capabilities. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, 401K, and health & dental insurance. This is an employment at will position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to perform all duties in a manner that creates a safe environment for all employees.
  • Must prove experience operating cranes as well as show proof of NCCCO certification to operate cranes of a type and size required by project and be able to maintain that certification
  • Must be able to pass all NCCCO certification physical and drug test.
  • Must be knowledgeable about crane rigging, hand signals and load charts.
  • Must be physically capable and willing to carry 40 to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a post offer, pre-hire physical verifying ability to perform essential functions of job, as well as a DOT drug test at hire and whenever required by Advance Tank or its customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Must be able to perform all duties in a manner that creates a safe environment for all employees.
  • Must be capable of moving steel and steel pieces to appropriate places on site using appropriate rigging and crane.
  • Ability to set delicate equipment in a confined area.
  • Ability to set the crane up in a safe manner, including appropriate use of outriggers.
  • Ability to see appropriate hand signals telling how to handle the load.
  • Inspect crane equipment daily to determine if capable of operating.
  • Assist other employees in proper rigging prior to lift as well as manually assist with loading or unloading of materials.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Make minor and major repairs to all equipment and operate more than one piece of equipment.
  • When crane operating work is not available, assist crew with other chores on site.

SCHEDULE:

The work is scheduled is Monday through Friday, often ten hours a day. Furthermore, overtime is often required.

WORK CONDITIONS:

You will be on your feet all day, which can include kneeling, bending, and standing.  Wearing a hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs and suitable work clothing is necessary. You will be working outside in all types of weather.  You will be expected to be aligned with the Company Work Ethic Document, which is included in your new hire packet.
