Advance Tank and Construction is a construction company that works throughout the continental United States.  We build large capacity, steel erected, storage products from the ground up.  We are looking for a Project Manager in our Wellington, CO office.  We are interested in those who are experienced, hardworking, and know how to work safely.

PAY RANGE

$90,000 to $130,000

The pay range is dependent on the person’s experience and capabilities. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, 401K and health and dental insurance. This is an employment at will position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have good interpersonal skills, good attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must have technical writing abilities to generate documentation required.
  • Must have verbal communication skills to present project information related to coworkers and clients.
  • Must have experience on computers and be proficient with Microsoft Office programs and PDF editors.
  • Must be able to work on multiple tasks or work under a time deadline.
  • Must be able to travel one to two weeks per month and to jobsites as needed.
  • Must have experience in project or construction management.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card, obtain site safety trainings as needed to access construction sites, have a driver license, pass a background check, and post offer drug test.
  • Must have experience in the Heavy Industrial Construction Industry

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED

  • BS in Engineering or other relevant technical degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer/Manager
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  • Prior experience in the Erected Storage Tank Industry
  • API 650/653

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Perform all aspects of contract management as well as delegate duties to project support teams as needed (engineering, drafting, shop fabrication, project administrators, etc.)
  • Preparation of schedules, purchase orders, subcontractors, and various company required reports for projects.
  • Manage submittal requirements needed by clients to complete a project.
  • Understand scope of work as related to contracts; develop and follow through on a plan to achieve the scope of work.
  • Be able to negotiate changes in scope of a project, formulate change orders and schedule extensions, as neccessary.
  • Be able to review subcontract quotes to ensure project requirements are met and manage subcontractors throughout a project to maintain budget and schedule.
  • Understand and learn the budgeting and tracking of all jobs costs on assigned projects.
  • Be able to forecast costs needed to complete a project while project is ongoing.
  • Prepare invoices and proper back up documentation for customers as required by contract.
  • Be willing to adapt to the varying needs each client will require and delegate time and resources accordingly.
  • Monitor submittal status, shop fabrication, and field erection to be able to foresee challenges, issues, and potential delay early; help develop plans to mitigate these items.
  • Communicate with company employees as well as customers/clients on progress of projects.
  • Learn and begin to implement the company safety program as it pertains to assigned projects.
  • Review drawings as needed to verfiy scope of work is being fulfilled by drawings.
  • Travel as needed to jobsites to complete assigned projects.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Assist sales and estimating in obtaining future work for the Company.
  • Perform site walks for sales prior to bidding job.
  • Assist construction manager in equipment budgeting and equipment suggestions.

SCHEDULE

  • Daily hours of office operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, travel schedule will vary these hours.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • This job requires the worker to be able to sit at a desk daily in an office environment as well as travel and move around a shop and field construction site.
